SELF TAUGHT

I am a self taught crocheter, and knitter. Learned from a Learn How book. I started out making slippers for everyone as a beginning project. That was some 40 years ago. With practice and working on various patterns, I learned more and more. Recently, I published two crochet booklets, for the fun of it. Doll clothes patterns for 18" dolls. I made up the patterns myself. I am working on a third booklet now. Crocheting has taught me patience and has given me a sense of accomplishment. I can spend hours at crochet. I knit some, but spent most of my time on crochet. I taught my daughter in law how to crochet, with my own learn how booklet that I typed some years ago. You can get out of crochet, just what you want to put into it. For me, it has been the best hobby I have had over the years. Something to do in the quiet hours of the night when I can't sleep. Also makes those rainy days just a whole lot brighter.
