My grandmother would always knit or crochet something wonderful. At the age of 15, I finally asked her to teach me how to crochet. I played around with it for years...picking it up and putting it down again. A few years ago I became very ill. I could no longer work because of this condition. I suddenly had all the time in the world and the days were long. Then I remembered crochet! I immediately bought some yarn (I now have 4 large bins full) and got to work. I had forgotten how peaceful it can be! Right now I'm making a book cover. About a year ago, I started making jewelry as well, but I'll never forget how crocheting saved me.
