Praying and knitting
Created By: Frances Robson
I learned to knit in college because I thought it was "cool" but did not continue to knit but did crochet a little bit. About 3 years ago, my sister-in-law introduced me to the Prayer Shawl ministry and the rest is history. I have knitted about 8-10 shawls and have received the blessing of being of service to someone. There have been shawls for the terminally ill, the terribly ill who recovered, new babies, granddaughter in Baghdad, and loved ones to say I love you. I found loom knitting to knit caps quickly for those undergoing chemo and new blessings have followed. Now, I am a 'yarn-a-holic." Pretty yarn is piling up faster than I can knit it, but who cares? There are always shawls to knit, love to give and warm friendships to follow.
Thanks to knitting I am always occupied with a good thing and this is great for the ADHD! Thank you Lion Brand for the lovely yarns and the great newsletter.
