Warm, Fuzzy and Nutty.
I came home from the hospital after having part of my left lung removed. Cancer... first stage. What I feared most was that my darling grand daughters age four and three would not remember me or know how much I loved them if I were to die soon.
Thus began the afghan drive for immortality.
I have lived over three years cancer free and have crocheted over 20 full sized afghan. The grand daugters have received 4, two more are being saved for when they are older. The doctors have four, most friends and relatives have one.
I am in the house so much crocheting that I don't have a chance to make many new friends. Thus new recipients of my afghans. I get very nervous when I don't have my "work" with me. I am addicted!
I sometimes think I am a nut and should see a psychiatist, but then I would be making an afghan for him too!
