The Teen Knitting Club

I learned to crochet from my grandma when I was around ten. I loved the craft and wanted to learn more. So when my mom and I saw that there was a teen knitting club at our local library, I went(even though I was eleven at the time). There were a bunch of older girls and a guy or two. We hung out and ate snacks, and got personal help from instructors. I will never forget that my first knit project was a scarf made with Lion Brand Homespun Metropolis. It now hangs on the bed frame of my (also knitting) best friend.
Now, at age twelve, I am still knitting: scarves, baby afghans, booties, etc. Lion Brand is still my first choice for yarn. Someday, I want to start my own Teen Knitting Club, to hang out, make friends, and share the art of knitting with others.
