Falling in Love!!!

At my church some of the women decided that they wanted to learn how to knit, I wanted to know a little bit about it before I went to meet with the group. There were some of the other women who also wanted to know a little before the meeting. My wonderful mother in law decided to have a mini class at her house and show us the basic steps of knitting. It was the greatest afternoon! I fell in love immediately with knitting! I was amazed at how I could create something so cool with my own hands! My first project was a scarf, very simple and basic, but I love it! We started meeting at church, and some of the ladies got it, but some did'nt, anyway we would meet, talk about our lives and knit. It was so much fun! Soon the group drifted apart, but I kept on knitting! My mother in law has been a huge influence in my knitting and actually taught me my favorite thing to knit, the everyday wash rag!! I love the cotton yarn, and the simple pattern! Plus they are a great gift!People love them!!! I knit everyday, I take it to soccer practice, gymnastics, trips, I now have started teaching my 9 year old daughter how to knit, she loves the wash rags almost as much as I do! Soon it will be time to teach my 6 year old the art of knitting, I look forward to it everyday! I hope one day to be teaching their children also! My mother in law gave me such a great gift when she taught me that afternoon, little did I know I would fall in love.
