I learned to knit from my mom as a child. Over the years I have picked it up and put in down many times. This time a co worker got me at it again she was knitting socks. So I picked up the needles and stated with a few scarfs on fine yarn, then a couple baby blankets. Then I fell a broke myleg which is no fun in the winter in Mich. So I statred a few simple tube socks which my children spoke for before they got done, my daugther and her wife love diffrent kinda of sock and could not find them at times. Then I took a big step and made a pair with heels. That kept me working for a few days figureing the gusset and learn how to do it right, but thanks to computors and veidos I got it all figured out and I made my first pair of heeled socks. It was fun and a real sence of get something new done.

I have found this to be wonderful for me to fight of broadom from being home bound with my leg and it has been great in fighting the depression that I deal with. I have so enjoyed getting back to knitting and I also thank my mom whom is in her 80's and memory problems for teaching me the basic when I was a little girl.

I also have watched DIY on TV which has a great show "knitty Gritty" It is great to see this craft still going strong after so many years. Yes I did kept the the heeled socks for me.
