Crochet With A Discalimer!
Created By: Michelle Foster
While at work one day, I saw a co-worker/ friend crocheting and was in awe. I remembered that my grandmother taught me and all the girls to crochet when we were little. So while my friend Diane was ever so patiently re-teaching me to crochet, I began to feel a sense of relaxation. As I began practicing at home everyday after work, I became very relaxed from the stresses of having teenagers. I crochet so much, that I began making scarves for everyone! Jokingly, I made a "disclaimer" that stated; "Regardless of imperfections such as missed or added stitches, curling up on the ends,or the inability to identify what the item is, it's now yours, no returns!" The disclaimer was a hit! I now include a disclaimer for every item. The one and only scarf I made for myself was made during a very stressful time and I decided not to remove the imperfections in it while I was crocheting becasue it was how I felt. I still wear it today and appreciate being able to tell the story behind the imperfections.
