My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 15...
Created By: ELIZABETH MARTINEZ
My mother taught me how to crochet when I was 15 years old. As an only child, my mother taught me how to stay busy. Over the years I have realized how much I love to crochet. I have made many beautiful items for myself and loved ones. So much time, effort and love goes into these projects and the receiver is always most appreciative. I look forward to my crochet time as a treat and a stress reliever. I haven't found any hobby that I enjoy as much. I am now 47 years old and lost my mother at age 80 in 2005. To crochet has helped me heal, and makes me feel closer to her. I remember all the times we sat together to crochet. Of all the things my mother taught me, to crochet is one of the greatest gifts. My children and I have many things that she crocheted and gave to us. She left us 7 baby afghans for the grandbabies to come. Now, my goal is to teach my daughter, and maybe grandchild one day. This will be a gift from my mother as well as myself.
