I learned to knit many,many years ago ,with my aunt at a Sears store in Dayton,Ohio. The years flew by and I did not pick up knitting or crochet hooks til a friend of mine here in Heber Springs ,Arkansas opened a small yarn shop. I asked her if she would help me revive the art of knitting. She agreed and I have been off and running. We formed a prayer shaw ministry and I cannot tell you the peace and fulfilment I receive from creating simple projects.I am by no means a master knitter, but when I give someone in need, one of my shaws or I wear one of my shaws, I am so proud.When I am stressed or fretful-- I go to the shop and I come home with a different attitude. Our little shop is an oasis for many of us and we will keep it open as long as we need.Thankyou to my friend.
