Giving to the Community

I have been crotcheting and knitting for years. I recently started a project that has brought some much joy and personal satisfaction, I can't imagine why I had not done it sooner. I along with other friends started making cheery chemo caps and distributing the caps to patients primarily through local cancer clinics and oncologists. The project started because a friend had be diagnosed with cancer and would required chemo. I simply made her a cap or two. The caps have since taken on a life of their own, I truly enjoy making the caps. Every cap has a personality and/or story, these caps give be me as joy as they give the patients. I have truly found my ministry in the making and distributing chemo caps.
