RELAXATION 101
Created By: Elaine Hewett
I can remember my mother knitting and/or crocheting for most of my younger life. She attempted to teach me but I guess I was not ready to learn then.It was years later I remember making my first sweater for my fiance when I was in nursing school. It took quite a while and I plugged along with it for about 3 months and I felt so good when it was finished and it actually fit and he got quite a few compliments on it. Then when we started our family I started making sweaters, vests, scarves and hats for them. I got a feeling of satisfaction that made me feel good. As the years have gone on I now knit for the grandchildren. Also now because I have accumulated so much yarn over the years I now knit and/or crochet for our local hospital. I have made booties, hats, afghans and sweaters for the nursery and chemo caps and P.I.C.C. covers for the patients arms. I am semi-retired now and what a relaxing way to spend my free time. I have also taught my grandchildren to knit and maybe someday they will love it as much as I do. It is satisfaction to know how proud my mother would be to know how much I now love it. Thanks for the opportunity to actually express how my hobby has blossomed over the years.
