Crocheting as Therapy

Crocheting has benefited my life in more ways than I can count. Through high-stress jobs, crocheting was my therapy. I always could forget my stresses of the day while crocheting a beautiful baby blanket for a friend or a cozy sweater for my dog. The best thing ever was finding out about the Caps to the Capitol program which called for tiny crocheted (or kniited) baby hats for newborns in third world countries. I crocheted eight hats in total and sent them off. Now I plan on crocheting afgans and warmers for battered women's shelters and the homeless. Crocheting provides a never-ending source for good. I truly love to crochet a one-of-a-kind work of art most especially for someone else's enjoyment and warmth.
