knitted prayers
Created By: Karen Linder

since I am a two time cancer surviver with two special needs girls and a teenage son who is a footbal player and a "chick magnet" I don't have much time for myself, Oh and did I mention my husband travels for his job 24/7? Needless to say I love crafts but have very little time to do them. So three years ago I started knitting scarves. This was easy I could take them anywhere with me,and it relaxed me. Since I spend a lot of time in doctors offices Its the perfect thing to do in waiting rooms (my type A personality hates to waste time.) I started knitting pink scarves right away for my friends with breast cancer even before any patterns were published. Since the advent of the prayer shawl (I admit that wasn't my idea but what a wonderful one) I pray over everything I knit. If I know who its going to, like a breast cancer friend I pray the whole time for healing, free from pain, feel Love from others. I am currently kniting a sweater for a new baby and I am praying that she has a wonderful life, good health, happiness, safety, intelligence, and wealth and prosperity. The things we want for all our children !!! It's funny how it works, I feel doubly blessed, I get to relax and pray, and have a little break !! I LOVE TO KNIT ! Thank you.
