Stitching to Calm

I tought myself to knit by using information off the internet. I am left handed, didn't realize that there was a left/right way. I was hooked after I learned to do this wonderful, crazy thing.I had never been known for my talent with crafts so I surprised everyone.
I was just going to knit my family scarves that christmas, just to prove to them I had some craft sacy too.
Well now they all have scarves, afgans purses, and almost everything you can dream of,(some things they may not want!)
The calm I find when kniting is wonderful. I pray, dream and reflect and often miss a stich and have to start over! What a wonderful thing that there are some mistakes you can redo!!
I love the prayer shawls and now am trying to start a prayer/knitting group in my community; I believe that knitting and prayer can help you through anything.
