Generations of Love

When I was a little girl, my dolls had the most beautiful hand knit and crocheted clothes and blankets. My Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother spent many hours making these works of art for me and my sister to play with. Not only did the dolls look beautiful, but so did we. The sweaters, vests, and ponchos they made for us were all so wonderful and warm! I continued to wear hand-knit sweaters all through my snowy days in college in upstate, New York. Today my daughters wear many items made by their Grand-mother and Great-Grandmother. They had the best blankets for their carriages as babies and beautiful sweaters and scarves today! I still have afghans and sweaters I now share with my own family. The most important thing to me, is the love that every single piece was made with. I can still feel all of that love everytime I hold them. Each and every one is an important part of my family and a constant reminder of the hours of love passed from generation to generation.
