I like to believe that my ability to crochet was...
Created By: CAROL A COURSEY YOUNG
I like to believe that my ability to crochet was a gift that my Grandmother passed on to me after she herself passed away.
For many years I tried to learn to crochet and knit, several people tried to teach me and gave up, thinking I was too much of a "klutz" to learn this craft. So, I put away the hooks and needles and gave up. Meanwhile my Grandmother knitted and crocheted booties and sweaters for my children as they came along. Then, Gramma died, she lived a good long life of 86 healthy years, she fashioned many afgans, lace edges on pillowcases, altar cloths for our church, and many other lovely things, and I treasured all those things that she had given to me.
One day, a few weeks after she left us, I picked up a crochet hook and as if by magic, I was crochetting !!! I stopped and smiled and realised that Grandma had left behind her talent, she had given it to me !!!!!
