When the Lion Brand brought out the pattern for a chemo cap I thought I would make one.
It didn,t take long some one came down with cancer. She was a young 25 year old teacher.
Everyone in our community was deeply affected wondering how to help her.
My part was giving her a chemo cap with matching scarf.
That was two years ago. She has recovered. Thank the lord.
I have made three others for friends. One was an elderly lady that I knew.
The other two are taking chemo right now for breast cancer.
I hope it bringd hope to all that wear the cap.
Every stich I knit I think how painful it must be to go through the treatment. I can see the struggle.
Knitting is a stress relieve for me. Giving is the joy.
