How I learnt to Crochet
Created By: L Lynne
I learnt how to knit when I was 5 years old the first thing I knitted was a sweater for my bear and I dropped a stitch that I would not let my gran fix and to me it was like mine and a sign of pride even though it was not prefect.
What I could not master was the way to crochet and had many women try to teach me how until one day I was travelling to work on the train, which took 1 hour and there sitting in front of me was a women crocheting so I watched her and took mental notes the next day I did the same until I started to try what she was doing at home.
I now crochet better then those that win awards at the shows, my late mum's words but there is one catch you see I don't hold my crochet hook like it is suppose to be held I hold it my way.
I have taught many other women who told me I can't crochet how to do it by saying hold it the way you feel comfortable with.
