Crochet is not just a hobby for me

My interest in crocheting started for me when I was a young girl. My mother would pick up the yarn and hook every once in a while and would sit me down and show me some stitches. I was, excuse the pun, Hooked! Unfortunately, I did not start again until I was pregnant with twins at the age of 29 and had to stay in bed for 5 months. The blankets came out a bit uneven, but I loved them and used them often in spite of there inperfections. The crocheting for me over the years, I noticed, was more of therapy than a hobby. Life can throw some curves at you once in a while, and I have to say my family had a fair share of them this past year. I was even able to share this with one of my sons, who really loves crocheting also. In elementary school he showed the teachers how to make book worms for the school to sell so money could be raised. When I am crocheting I am relaxed and forget what is hurting. Crocheting, for me, has really saved me and has given me some really wonderful memories over the years. Thanks
