On the Road

My husband drives an 18-wheeler & I have been on the road with him for over 17 years.After about 2 years of being on the road,I got tired of reading books & doing word puzzles,so I picked up a "how-to-crochet" booklet,a skein of yarn & a crochet hook.I was "hooked" from the first lesson!I made 2 blankets that same year for Christmas presents.
Crochet has greatly enhanced my life.Not only does it fill all the spare time time,but it gives me a wonderful outlet for my creative.I started designing my own patterns around 5 years ago.The slae of my hats online & at craft shows gives me "mad money" to purchase more yarn!
Though I have made many projects over the years,hats are my favorite,for sale & for charity,along with making lap blankets for hospice.
I really don't know what I would do with myself if I didn't have crochet!I have made so many friends with my same interests through online groups,which,with my lifestyle,is great!
When I want to make a special project,I always choose LionBrand prodects.Jiffy makes warm,snuggly hats,while CottonEase makes soft & cool summer hats.
