horse booties
Created By: DEBBIE DOMBY
hello, well my story actually began when i was about 8 years old and my father taught me how to knit...i immediately fell in love with fiber, color, and texture. i am now 54 years old and through the years i have knitted more afghans, baby blankets, sweaters and shawls than i care to admit to. However, recently a disabled girl named sheila broke up a rather dull dinner party with the request to make some "horse booties" for a horse at the stable she rides at. well, everyone started laughing and having fun after that comment. yes, i told her i would make some "horse booties" for the foal. i had a long time to decide how to make them since a horse gestation is 11 months i am told. the horse is due in april. i have been invited to my first horse baby shower! i have my booties ready for the baby to be...i made 4 booties with lace up staps out of LION BRAND FANCY FUR spring green since i don't know if it will be a boy or girl. i have made new friends with knitting and have made a lot of people happy with items ranging from chemo caps to horse booties! thanks lion brand i especially like your newsletter and FANCY FUR!
