made from Lion Brand Yarn.
This is just a pattern I made up as I went trying to come up with a purse that didn't require sewing in a liner.
I knitted a 24 inch long by 8 inches wide panel alternating Russet and Fawn LB Homespun yarn. When completed, I folded in similar to folding a letter for an envelope. I pinned the sides together. I then made 3 icords; 2 in russet and 1 in fawn for the length I wanted my strap to be + the length of the purse. I braided these together and pinned the end of the braid to the bottom side of the purse with an inch going to the inside of the purse. I then whip stitched the sides closed and over top of that, I whip stitched the straps onto the side of the purse. I attached a coordinating button to the flap and the purse was complete.
I also made one in black and deco using the flat panel style but put 6 inches of stripes with the rest of the purse in solid black. I will attach both pictures.
I received alot of wonderful feedback from my knitting/loom groups regarding these purses. You can refer to my blog: http://loomandboards.blogspot.com/ if you have any interest.
