made from Lion Brand Yarn.
I had three skeins of Lion Incredible in Autumn Leaves hanging around and also some 30 year-old, unused, wooden purse handles and wanted to make something with them. I found a simple little ribbon bag pattern on the website of the Unwind yarn shop in Burbank, CA (www.unwindyarn.com) that gave me an idea. I knitted with two strands of the Incredible using the stockinette stitch throughout the body of the purse. After I sewed the side seams to within one inch of the top, I did a row of single crochet and then a row of double-crochet at the top opening. I inserted the dowels on each side of the top through every-other double-crochet and then glued the knobs to each end. The loop closure for the button and the handles are crochet. I used an antique button for the closure and I am pretty happy how it came out. I think I will try some others with left-over supplies and old buttons.
