Using Lion Brand Homespun Yarn
2 skeins each of
#309 DECO
#311 ROCOCO
2 strands of each color in Garter Stitch on size 11 knitting needles
Knit cap first, and use remaining yarn to make scarf.
Close fitting cap and long, fat scarf knitted in Garter stitch using two strands of yarn held together.
CAP
Holding 2 strands of yarn throughout, (one strand of each color), cast on 42 stitches and knit each row, for 5 ˝ inches.
Decrease for crown of cap:
Row 1: Knit 4, Knit 2 together. Repeat to end.
Row 2: Knit.
Row 3: Knit 3, Knit 2 together. Repeat to end.
Row 4: Knit.
Row 5: Knit 2, Knit 2 together. Repeat to end.
Row 6: Knit.
Row 7: Knit 1, Knit 2 together. Repeat to end.
Row 8: Knit.
Row 9: Knit 2 together. Repeat to end.
Cut off 2 feet of yarn, thread through remaining 7 stitches and pull tight. Sew back seam. Hide any dangling strands of yarn.
SCARF
Holding 2 strands of yarn throughout, (one strand of each color), cast on 21 stitches and knit each row, until yarn runs out or you reach the desired length.
