For my daughter Rachel's sweater, I used an old pattern my grandmother, (Elsie - 100 yrs old this June!), has handed down to me. It's knit on circular needles, all in one piece; there is no sewing involved. It's very easy! I created the dog sweater pattern myself using the pattern for socks as a basic template. My favorite yarn to use is LionBrand Homespun, which is soft and durable, comes in a variety of wonderful colors and cleans just as easily as anything. Actually, the more it's washed and dried, the softer and cuddlier it gets! I only use LionBrand yarn, as you can see by the following photos, my chihuahuas are as pleased as I am. :)
