I knit this afghan for my father, who had jealously watched me churn out hand-knit items for other people but none for him.
I wanted to try a new pattern and as I was perusing my stash of yarns, I noticed that I had more blue yarn than any other color; and as we live in a quaint beach town, I decided an ocean throw would be just the thing!
I followed the "Autumn Throw" pattern but used only 5 colors and 3 yarns.
Homespun: Williamsburg, Delft, and Colonial
Wool-Ease T&Q: Denim
Jiffy: Heather Blue
I loved the pattern, and my father loves his "blankie" so much that he won't share it with anyone, not even me!
