This original pattern was based on Lion Brand Basic Sock Pattern. I knitted with Lion Brand Micro-spun. I knitted 10 rows of K1,P1, ribbing then immediately did the heel flap, and followed the basic sock pattern for the remainder of the sock. This style is SUPER HOT with the 10year through HIGH SCHOOL age groups. The less sock showing, the better. I made these for my granddaughter in Masachusetts, going to Middle School this year, she is 11 years old.
I used (US)#2 needles, the set of five works best. The MicroSpun yarn is "Purple" Color #147. They are STUNNING.
