Moonlight Mohair Scarf
Created By: Lynda Altman
Pattern Source: other:

This is a long scarf, 60" long. I used half double crochet and edged it with singe crochet. Then I added fringe.

This is a fairly easy project to do. I have 15 skeins of this yarn lying around and I finally came up with the pattern. The half-double crochet works well, giving the scarf enough density to be really warm without the stiffness of single crochet. The single crochet edging pulls it together and makes the scarf look handmade instead of homemade.

I made this scarf for myself and others will be for sale in my Etsy store--look for The Granny Squared.

I decided to offer the pattern for free on my blog, The Granny Squared. The web address is listed below. Please link to the pattern if you want to share it. You cannot copy and distribute it.

It was a lot of fun playing with this yarn. I love the fuzziness of the mohair combined with the subtle sparkle of the metallic threads. Works well with jeans or dressed up.
