Elizabeth Wrap Cardigan... well, Suzie Wrap Cardigan
Created By: Suzie Kemp
Craft: knit
Materials: I'm in the UK, so spent a while trying to find a good value local alternative to the yarn suggested. I eventually used 6x 100g balls of Yarnfair 100% acrylic double knitting yarn in New Jade (shade 205/80) from Wilkinsons home stores, at approx £1.35 per ball. I also used 4mm needles for the majority of the work, and used 3.25mm needles and a knitter's needle occasionally, and a large button for the fastening.
Pattern Source: lionbrand: Elizabeth Wrap cardigan

I wanted a waterfall cardigan with full length sleeves, and the Elizabeth wrap pattern seemed a close fit. I altered the pattern slightly, lengthening the sleeves (and using the maximum sizing for sleeves but not for the body, as the suggested sizing for sleeves was too tight) and shortening the waterfall (sides). I also added a buttonhole (not pictured) on the right side, and a button on the left breast, so I could do it up. I'll also wrap it closed with a leather belt. The whole project took longer than I had anticipated- working evenings on and off, and completing several other projects, organising a wedding and working full time meant that the project took about 6 months. I'm happy with the end results though, even if next time I would make the front band thinner!
