Baby Throw with Toy Car Appliqués & Matching Hat
Created By: Myra R. Slatoff
Craft: knit
Materials: I had purchased the Sunshine Day Baby Throw kit online, with Lion Brand yarns LB Vanna's Choice Baby and LB Cotton-Ease included. There is twice as much yarn as needed if purchased this way, but I should have enough to make another baby throw.
Pattern Source: lionbrand:

The hat and throw were baby gifts for my cousin's grandson. I knitted the baby throw following most directions as given. However, I added five stitches on each side, top and bottom, to create a rib stitch edging, so that the edges wouldn't curl and it gave a more finished look. This was suggested by an earlier reviewer and it worked beautifully.

I was able to find the free crochet instructions for a toy car appliqué online, created by Sandi Marshall, copyright@2005. I added three different-colored cars (but with colors in the throw) to the throw and to the hat I created by crocheting with matching yarns.
