Created By: A Amanda
Craft: crochet
Materials: I used 1 1/2 86 yard skeins of (sorry Lion!) Bernat baby blanket super bulky yarn. Please understand though--- my Scott Bear ended up being 11 1/2 inches tall and about 7 inches from the back of its head to the tip of its snout. SO yes much larger than the pattern says it will make HOWEVER the yarn size and gauge is much larger than the worsted weight that is called for. But again I made this for a baby shower gift so I wanted it to be extra soft and cuddly.

I made this pattern step by step as it says to however, I used super bulky 6 baby blanket yarn. I also should not that I have crocheted for 1 whole week. This was the very first I have ever made besides one scarf (that turned out pretty badly I might add) It honestly took me about 2 days to do given that I didnt spend every waking hour working on it. I absolutely LOVED it! The steps were very simple and easy to understand. I did have to take a second and look up youtube to be sure I was doing the reductions but other than that I am so proud of myself! I am totally addicted to not only crochet but the little animals! This is such a great pattern to give a beginner like first few days beginner! As beginners I hate to be stuck with potholders so this is awesome! I am working on my second Scott Bear now and giving both of them along with a matching baby hat as baby shower gifts. Im am truly amazed that I have created this amazing super cute little bear! Thank you so much Lion Brand!
