I can never seem to follow the directions as written. There is always something I need to change, improve or "just see if this works better". I love a challenge, so when asked by a friend if I could make a Giraffe Hat, this was the result. I taught myself to knit and enjoy leaning something new each time. I needed a random color pattern so I learned to double knit. People are always giving me another animal challenge, and so I started to write them into patterns of my own.
