It took me a week to complete this pattern.
I was on deadline since the baby shower was 9 days from when I started the project. I am not a fast crocheter. I can follow easy to intermediate patterns.I go super slow on advanced patterns and rip out alot.
I had started 4 other patterns before this one, but didn't like them.
This one was Awesome! It really flows because of repeating the Rows 3 and 4. It really is beautiful!
You can use just a single color yarn and it's interesting because of the texture.
I know my friends will love it for their little boy!
My 16 year old daughter asked me if I could teach her how to crochet one for her teacher who is expecting.
Now, that is an endorsement! This blanket I made with Red Heart Super Saver Baby Yarn. POOR CHOICE! It's a cheaper yarn, but what you save in money, you pay for in time because it seperates so easily and gets caught in your crochet hook, even after I moved up the size to accomodate the yarn.
I learned a valueable lesson and will use a better quality yarn the next time like Lion Brand Yarn!
