Hi there, I just wanted to share a...
Created By: Maryann Stearns

Hi there,

I just wanted to share a couple of just finished knitting projects with you. A couple of months ago I decided to make myself a sweater and chose the Gazebo colored Lion Brand Homespun yarn because it's so soft and beautiful. I used an old pattern that my grandmother, Elsie, used when I was a child; it's all done in one piece, from the neck down and extremely easy to do. I had accidentally bought too much yarn, and my oldest daughter, Heather, liked my sweater so much that I made her an exact duplicate. My youngest daughter, Rachel, chose the color Delft for her sweater, and it turned out just as lovely.
Rachel has two Chihuahuas named Chico and Rebecca, and I often knit their sweaters out of leftover yarn. Well, you guessed it...their sweaters turned out just as warm and cozy as ours did! When Rachel adopted her first little dog, we tried store-bought sweaters, but they were very expensive, too thin and really didn't fit well. So I redesigned an old sock pattern to make the sweaters myself, and it worked! It only takes a couple of evenings to knit one up, the pattern can be adjusted for male or female dogs, and for larger or smaller dogs.
One more thing I'd like to add - it's been our experience that the more you wash these sweaters...the softer and cuddlier they get! Heather, Rachel and I have already picked out which Homespun colors we want for the next set of sweaters, and I know Chico and Becky will be happy to have the leftovers!

Good Cheer & Be Well,

Mary
