I made this prayer shawl for my Mom. My husband had given me a pile of yarn for Christmas 2007 and several knitting needles. Unfortunately I hadn’t knitted in over thirty years (only crocheted) and I wanted him to know how much I enjoyed his gift so I decided to give knitting a try. I found an easy Prayer Shawl pattern on the Lion Brand website then had my Mom pick her favorite color of Homespun yarn and I was off and running. I knitted this prayer shawl in very little time and really enjoyed knitting. Since then I haven’t put my knitting needle down and look forward to the next project. My Mom loves the prayer shawl and uses it to keep her warm all year long.
