I made this flag for my father's 80th birthday. He is a War Veteran and he loved it. This is a pattern that I copied from a magazine. I have made it a couple of times but I felt that the weight was too thin for the size. The actual blanket will fit on a twin bed (with a little overhang). So for this one, I used two strands of yarn at a time to increase the thickness and used a "k" crochet hook. I also sewed the stars on with yarn instead of thread.
