Materials: Lion Brand "Vanna's Choice" yarns. Vanna's Choice is my yarn-of-choice on most of my projects because of the broad range of colors, the soft and hearty texture, the fact that ALL of the shades are complimentary so I don't struggle with that aspect and .... the finished product consistently makes me look much better than I am.

After making this afghan for a nephew in ROTC, my husband insisted that I make one for him! Although this afghan was completed only a few weeks ago, it already has accumulated more than 2,000 miles. I had begun the pattern in mid December, it went with us as we drove from Los Angeles to Umpqua, Oregon to visit our friend Sylvia and her family over the Christmas/New Year holidays. I worked on it during those quiet times and late night chats, but didn't finish til we got back home in L.A.
