Heirloom Baby Blanket

I made this blanket for our first grandchild not knowing whether it would be for a boy or a girl. It took more time than I thought maybe because it was the first time I had ever knitted anything from a chart. However, I did that part first & liked the challenge. I found the four dragon skin pieces to be a bit of a challenge because it was hard to keep track of exactly where I was in the pattern. This may have been partly because the yarn was variegated in colour. It was a little difficult sewing the 19 pieces together & making the pieces match, but I eventually accomplished that. Everyone loves it, & I would make it again, but I'd allow a little more time to complete it.
