I wanted to make something cozy in natural colors for a friend, but I didn't want to do a typical granny square so I opted for this slightly different square pattern. It took a lot of time and dedication as there was so much double crocheting to do. It was well worth the energy I put into it, and I think my friend will be enjoying it for years to come. I was so tempted to keep it for myself, but I promised it to her. It was the first large project I've ever completed, and I had no trouble following the pattern to start and then getting into a rhythm. Now I feel inspired to make more!
