Pattern Source: lionbrand: Pattern #: L10502

I loved the Entrelac Beret Pattern #: L10502, and wanted to make it for my niece's Xmas gift this year. I had never done entrelac, and wanted to learn. This was a great project to learn with and gain experience at the same time. The hat and scarf worked up so beautifully, I decided to make a set for my sister and daughter

For the hat I simply followed the pattern. For the scarf, I simply cast on 15 stitches, knit 6 rows in garter stitch, and then began the beginning triangles for the 5 stitch squares, to match the hat. I knit the scarf 6 ft. long, and knit 5 rows of garter stitch at the opposite end, and then cast off. I had enough yarn left over to knit a pair of mittens as well. 2 skeins of yarn of each color, and you get hat, scarf and mittens. Can't beat that!
