made from Lion Brand Yarn.
I had already made several shawls and stoles with Homespun yarn but I wanted to see if the variagated yarn would produce a truly unique design. I started out with a rectangle and then started going around in sections in the opposite direction of the crocheted row. It worked! After it was large enough, I started crocheting a border making sure I marked off the corner where I would turn from right side to left side. I increased one stich on each corner so that it would continue to get wider and longer. I like the clean edge it created and I did not put a fringe on it because the focus is the center of the afghan.
