Materials: Everything I could get my hands on. I favor Lion Brand for worsted because its threads are strong and closely woven so they don't split when you work with them. They are nice and soft and come in beautiful colors.

For mom's 80th birthday - using a variety of yarns & threads. Each embellishment is sewn on but edges are left loose for 3D effect. This is fitting homage for a flower nut like mom. She does massive orders for weddings, church events and such. Her home is one big atrium-garden-flower workshop. Happy Birthday, mom!
