Prerequisites:

Must know how to knit, purl, cast on, bind off. Recognize the knit and purl stitch and be able to work them in a pattern without supervision.

• One ball of worsted- to chunky-weight yarn, needle & hook suggested for yarn. Examples include:

About the Teacher

Patty Lyons left her previous life as a Broadway stage manager eight years ago to follow her passion and work in the knitting world. After managing a local yarn store, in 2008 she joined Lion Brand as the Studio Director to help create the Lion Brand Yarn Studio in New York City. A certified knitting instructor, Patty focuses on helping her students see the 'why to' not just the 'how to'. Patty currently teaches over 30 of the Studio's 150 workshops, and enjoys teaching at shows such as Vogue Knitting Live and Knit 1 Crochet 2. She runs the Studio's education department, overseeing eight staff teachers.
