Knitting Pattern: Small Diamond Brocade
Small Diamond Brocade
(multiple of 12 sts plus 5)
Note: the instructions below are a generic description of how to execute this stitch pattern. For a single repeat, you'd only need 17 stitches (12 + 5) but you'd have a VERY narrow piece! For this pattern stitch, you may cast on any number of stitches that adds up to this multiple; for example 24 + 5 would be 29 stitches (2 x the multiple of 12 plus 5 extra stitches.)
Row 1 (RS) *K8, p1, k3; rep from *, end k5.
Row 2 P5, *p2, k1, p1, k1, p7; rep from * to end.
Rows 3 and 7 *K2, [p1, k3] twice, p1, k1; rep from *, end k2, p1, k2.
Rows 4 and 6 [P1, k1] twice, p1, *k1, p5, [k1, p1] 3 times; rep from * to end.
Row 5 *P1, k3, p1, k7; rep from *, end p1, k3, p1.
Row 8 Rep row 2.
Rep rows 1-8.
