Every knitter and crocheter is unique, just like every snowflake. The winter window display at the Lion Bran Yarn Studio is a stunning array of crocheted snowflakes of different sizes, all beautiful and special.
There are infinite varieties of snowflakes as well as infinite varieties of crafters. The window, filled with various shapes and sizes of snowflakes, can be seen as reflecting on the wonderfully diverse world of yarn crafts. This window can serve as a reminder that we all need to see the beauty in our differences, especially during the holidays.
The snowflakes are made using the Snowflakes (Crochet) pattern. There are nearly 200 of them in the store’s window. They are crocheted with 24/7 Cotton® in White and Vanna’s Glamour® in Diamond, and finished with fabric stiffener. The pattern contains charts for five different flakes, so you can make a gorgeous and varied display as well!
Inside the Studio, the display table resembles a cozy fireplace, displaying a dozen knit patterns that are perfect for the chilly winter weather. Sweaters, hats, scarves, and blankets cover the table, ready to inspire you to keep warm.
The window will be up until February, so if you’re in New York, come by and see it.
If you’d like to make any of the items featured on the display, see below for the patterns. They are all knit, and feature a variety of skill levels and types of items, but they all have one thing in common — they’re excellent for the frosty winter weather!
