We put together a list of kits & patterns, so let’s knock out one last big project of the winter!
If you’re feeling inspired to crochet your way through the rest of February, these are three sumptuous designs! The Celtic Afghan (Crochet) includes three distinct cables, which make for a challenging – but rewarding! – project. It works up in Vanna’s Choice, and while a neutral color is gorgeous (and smart when gifting) there are so many fun options for your space. The Adyson Afghan (Crochet) is offered as a pattern download or a kit, whichever works best for you! It’s pictured in Wool-Ease Thick & Quick Bonus Bundle in Spice Market, and it’ll add a fun flavor to your decor. The Garden Trellis Afghan (Crochet) is another relatively easy pattern, with lovely results! The Super Bulky recommended weight will add coziness to the openwork design.
Moroccan Wedding Blanket
Alexandra Tavel is a wildly talented crafter, and all three of these beautiful patterns are her creations! She’s the brains & hands (and heart!) behind Two of Wands, and we at Lion Brand are thrilled to offer her fashionable kits. The Moroccan Wedding Blanket (Knit Kit) is a gorgeous throw, with striking texture and organic tones. It’s a Level 3 – Intermediate pattern, and Jane Anne gave it a 5-star review! “The new stitches I’ve learned are loads of fun,” she writes.

The Mexican Blanket (Knit Kit) is sure to become the favorite blanket in your house! It’s thick & warm, and the design will lend a rustic vibe to your home.
Houndstooth Cabin Throw
The Houndstooth Cabin Throw (Crochet Kit) does not, sadly, come with that cute dog! It does work up in Scarfie, our yarn that has risen to its own social media fame, and it can be worked up by even those more new to crochet. You’ll need 3 balls each of Silver/Charcoal and Cream/Taupe, and once you get the hang of the pattern, watch this traditional checkerboard appear before your eyes. Fun Fact: a smaller scale variation of this design is appropriately called ‘puppytooth’! The classic houndstooth pattern will have you feeling a bit British, maybe consider whipping it up while watching ‘The Crown’ (and admiring all the Queen’s corgies!).
Two knits, with different squared styles. The Checkerboard Afghan (Knit) is a Level 1 – Beginner project, worked up in our new Thick & Quick Bonus Bundle. The Fisherman color is pictured, but there are 8 lovely colors to choose from! Lighter colors will accentuate the stitching a bit more, but wouldn’t Navy be beautiful, too?
