8 Festive Patterns for Thanksgiving Crafting

It’s almost time for the best meal of the year, but there’s still time left to get crafty. Whether you’re hosting Thanksgiving dinner this year or venturing to a friend or loved one’s home, make it festive. If you’re setting your own table, make a statement with a colorful centerpiece or unique serving details. Not staying at home? This holiday is all about gratitude, so a gift that can be used year after year is a perfect way to say thank you to your host. Here are 8 festive patterns for Thanksgiving crafting to make this year’s meal extra special.

8 Festive Patterns for Thanksgiving Crafting

One extraordinary way to welcome your guests for Thanksgiving is right at your front door – with a wreath! Plus, these three wreaths are all perfectly autumnal, so you can put them up as soon as the weather turns to Fall. If you’re visiting someone’s home and looking to bring something beyond the standard bottle of wine, a homemade wreath would definitely take the pumpkin pie. Our Fall Foliage Felted Wreath (Crochet) is a free & easy pattern in classic Turkey Day colors. The palette for our Fall Wreath (Knit) are a bit more sophisticated, but unfortunately several of the yarns have been discontinued. Instead, look at comparable colors of Lion’s Pride or Wool-Ease Chunky. Now, our Leaves of Yarn Wreath (Crafts) has a more modern palette. Plus, it’s a craft project, so even if you don’t knit or crochet you can still make this beauty.

Setting a One-of-a-Kind Table

Since the whole day culminates in the time we spend around the dinner table, it’s fun to add flavor with unique decorations. As much as we remember a new stuffing recipe or the ‘light or dark meat’ debate, we also savor the spread, the lighting, and the style of the event. A gorgeous centerpiece can focus the whole meal, so here are two of our favorites. Fill your Cornucopia Pattern (Crochet) with a pumpkin, eggplant, apple, corn, and squash for an overflowing table decoration. Or, if you have crafty friends coming for dinner, then everyone could choose a fruit or vegetable to crochet to add to your bounty! You could also opt for a spread of beautiful gourds, like our Thanksgiving Gourds Pattern (Crochet). If you’re really feeling the spirit of plenty, or if you’re planning to put an extra leaf in your table, then you could make them all.

Another fun way to add some style to your table is with the details – like our Napkin Rings (Crochet) or Fall Wineglass Decorations (Crochet). The other nice thing about these projects is that they’re quick, so no matter how many guests you’ll have there’s plenty of time to finish them up. They’re also nice stash busters, and could be made in any Fall colors.

A Meaningful Meal

Whatever your decorating style, we hope you’re already anticipating a fun & meaningful day (with an excellent meal!).
