Spoolknitting and imagination

The Tales of Tottie Tomato:
The  Adventures of a Spoolknitted Doll Family
by Noreen Crone-Findlay (c)

For the last 6 weeks or so, I have been utterly beguiled by a funny little doll named, Tottie Tomato.
She began as a tomato that my husband found in the garden.
When he called to me and said:
"Hey, Love, you have to see this tomato..... it's got a nose!"
I am sure he would never have imagined what that would lead to!

She simply came to life.
Her first need was a crown, which was a spoolknitter, of course.
The spoolknitter was put to good use on all her adventures!

Tottie Tomato went on a great journey (she came with us to Salt Spring Island and Victoria BC)
found her Beloved and made many friends,
and got married

She and her husband, Phineas, and their friends
have had to come to terms with Tottie's 'tomato-hood'.....
and that has lead to all manner of developments....
ending in a journey to the Story Door

with a very happy ending,
and all kinds of  wonderful new beginnings.

I have been chronicalling the stories of Tottie Tomato on my other blog
and have put all the links together for the stories.

Of course, spoolknitting is a HUGE part of the story, and
in fact....  the entire extended family
(including Tottie's cousin Tilda , whom I spoolknitted with Lion Brand Homespun *G*)
is  spoolknitted. Even the baby.
And the dog.... and....
oh, that's another story....

It's all about creativity, imagination and hope.
May you be blessed with all these things!
hugs all round,
Noreen
