Bunny Slippers!
And now, the moment you've all been waiting for! Yes, I finally managed to scrounge up my scribbly notes and post the pattern for the bunny slippers I made a couple years ago.
I made these slippers for my friend Ben, but I didn't take notes when I was making them. So this pattern may not be quite as accurate as it should be. If you make the slippers and come across any major revelations, please tell me. These slippers are made for big man-feet, but if you want to make them in other sizes, I'm sure you can figure out adjustments with a tape measure and some math.

Not the best picture, but it's the only one I have (from Ben's webcam).
I just found out that Polarspun has been discontinued. If you're able to find any, I'd recommend using it, but it has the right amount of fluff to it. Another yarn company makes a yarn similar to it that's available in most craft stores, but I won't recommend other brands on this web site. I've never used Tiffany yarn or seen it in stores, but from the looks of it, it would also make great fluffy slippers. So try that instead.
Materials:
- 2 skeins of fluffy yarn (Polarspun if you can find any, or Tiffany)
- size 10 1/2 straight needles
- yarn needle
- 6 buttons: 4 black, and 2 red or pink
- sewing needle and thread to match the buttons
I'm not certain about gauge here. If you have a certain slipper pattern you like, go with it before adding the ears. The margin of error for this particular slipper pattern is iffy.
With 2 strands held together, cast on 30 stitches. Work in garter for 9-10".
Toe shaping:
row 1: (k4, k2tog) 5x (25 st)
rows 2, 4, and 6: knit across
row 3: (k3, k2tog) 5x (20 st)
row 5: (k2, k2tog) 5x (15 st)
Draw yarn through remaining loops and pull tight. Sew up the top seam for 5-6". Sew up the back seam.
For the ears:
About 1/3 of the way from the opening to the toe, pick up 9 st on one side of the slipper. Knit in garter for 2 in, then dec 1 st at beg of every row until there are 3 st left. BO. Repeat on the other side of the slipper.
Sew on the button eyes and noses.
And there you have it. Enjoy!

Ade--
What is the yarn comparable to Polarspun?
I understand why there'd be posting restrictions, but are you restricted from telling in an email?
Thanks, Bethany

so you have any easy beginner patterns for a felted bag? I have search high and low with no luck. I have found a few patterns but none of them tell me how much yarn I need.
